For my brainstorming to initially find out what my magazine title is going to be, I need to truly analyze my Audience profile posters, and discover which word/name would represents these images. If my previous analyze of my Audience profile poster, I mentioned that this magazine has a stereotype of indie, although and chilled out position at the same time. Therefore I could a title which connotes relaxation, a title which would refer to what would occur inside the magazine. A word for example: Smooth or even Chill. To really identify my title I need to also research on people who I believe have this specific stereotype.
I chose age to analyze first in my search in the Demographic profile. I decide to target the audience at about 18-27, this is mainly because I referred this age still young. Which connotes at joy for reading my magazine. The magazines includes interests that this age generation who be attracted to, for example festivals and creativity in music. I then looked at gender, the gender I'm aiming for is male and female, this is because the music I'm adding to my magazine doesn't have a specific gender; males and females can enjoy this music either way.
The music will be based is England and America, I feel that these countries perform the music that has high ratings, and the higher the rating, the more popular is becomes. This is a very conventional in magazines to have music that is high rated e.g The charts.
Ideologically I want to use bands that aren't that popular and make the audience discover new bands. Although a disadvantage of this would be that they wouldn't find this music very interesting. I want them to discover this genre I'm trying to express.
Although these bands will be playing in England, so it's will get around.
I looked at the psychographic for my magazine. The culture is an important part in my magazine, this culture will represent the music and the audience. I researched on Uktribes.com to find a stereotype suitable for who I'm aiming my magazine at. These stereotypes are:
'Indie Scenesters' http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=7
'Skaters' http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=11
'Casuals' http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=21
'Young Alts' http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=30
These stereotypes, to some people seem different. This is because this magazine covers parts that these stereotypes will all enjoy.
I have chosen my magazine to be monthly. This is because there will be more pages than other conventional magazines. The pages will contain lots of information. Overall this magazine will not be as your casual/ conventional magazines. Usually magazines you can read in a day. The magazine I'm creating will give the reader more than a day to read. My magazine is intertexual to Vogue. The Vogue magazine is in depth and contains lots of pages.
I have chosen my magazine to be £4.00. This is because it is a monthly issue , if it was weekly I would have lowered the price. I have chosen this figure because the magazine will contain lots of pages including lots of information to the audience. Images that strongly connote the genre and audience composition.
